What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers globally.
- Drive technical direction and execution for customer-facing billing experiences and APIs.
- Partner with Product, Design, SRE, Finance, and peer teams to deliver intuitive billing solutions.
- Establish operational discipline including on-call excellence, incident management, and reliability metrics.
- Build roadmaps, define priorities, and ensure predictable delivery.
- Improve engineering quality, workflows, testing infrastructure, and documentation.
Requirements
- Must have experience leading and growing engineering teams as a people manager.
- Strong engineering foundation in backend or full-stack development.
- Ability to drive execution in distributed, cross-team environments.
- Focus on operational excellence, reliability, and customer experience.
- Understanding of large-scale data pipelines, APIs, or complex distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder alignment ability.
Nice to have
- Experience in billing systems, fintech, subscription platforms, or financial reporting.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud providers.
- Hands-on software engineering background.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks like SOX or secure data handling.
- Curiosity about SaaS business metrics and customer lifecycle analytics.
