Data Engineer

TL;DR

Data Engineer (Data Science/ML): Develop and scale data products including ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and visualizations with an accent on data quality, DataOps culture, and client experience. Focus on designing robust data pipelines, mentoring engineers, and improving predictive data quality.

What you will do

• Design and implement data analytics features and services across ETL pipelines, data warehousing, visualizations, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Tech Lead and Product Manager to define technical approaches, metrics, and roadmaps.
• Mentor other data engineers on best practices and champion DataOps culture.
• Support data systems in production including participation in on-call rotations.
• Communicate with customers to identify and resolve data issues and manage end-to-end data setups.

Requirements

• Must have strong experience with Databricks, Python (or PySpark), and SQL.
• Good visualization skills using Sisense or similar tools.
• Understanding of data management and governance to ensure data quality and schema compliance.
• Ability to work fully remote and collaborate across teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of microservices architecture principles.
• Experience with Kedro on Databricks.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud providers.
• Experience with Airbyte for data ingestion from multiple sources.
