Location: Hybrid from Gdańsk, Poland (2-3 days per week in office)

Salary: 1100 - 1300 PLN/day on B2B contract

What you will do

• Support the PIP Downtown team in delivering SEK Batch functionalities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java
• Implement and optimize Kafka producer and consumer logic
• Build and operate services in Kubernetes-based environments
• Work with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, MSSQL
• Build distributed, highly-available, and high-throughput applications applying microservices, domain-driven design, and event sourcing

Requirements

• Must be based in or near Gdańsk, Poland for hybrid work
• English: daily use in an international environment (B2 level assumed)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Java development
• Expertise in Kafka and relational databases
• Experience with distributed, high-throughput systems and clean code principles

Nice to have

• Data engineering background
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
