Backend Engineer (Fintech)

Backend Engineer (Fintech): Creating solutions for banks to seamlessly service customers and employees by crafting memorable and engaging banking experiences with an accent on reporting capabilities and fraud prevention functionalities. Focus on contributing to new and existing functionalities, implementing technical improvements, and taking ownership of the entire software development life cycle from idea to release.

Location: Hybrid in Kraków, Poland (2 days/week in office)

hirify.global is a product company focusing on a Digital Banking Platform within the Business Banking value stream, servicing commercial banking customers of financial institutions.

What you will do

• Contribute to new and existing functionalities, proof of concepts, and technical improvements for the Digital Banking Platform.
• Be responsible for the entire software development life cycle for digital banking products, from idea to release.
• Proactively collaborate with architects, data engineers, QA engineers, and other team members.
• Work in an Agile environment (Scrum with two-week sprints), delivering monthly product increments.
• Develop reporting capabilities and fraud prevention functionalities for commercial banking customers.

Requirements

• Solid background in software development including design.
• Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written.
• Experience with Java, Spring, CI and CD, and microservices.
• Experience with Cloud, relational databases, and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and scalability.
• Must live in Kraków or a nearby area and be willing to come to the office twice per week.
