Summer 2026 Intern – Quality Engineer (Python)

Summer 2026 Intern – Quality Engineer (Python): Building automated tests and Python-based tooling to validate data migration pipelines moving data through AWS services. Location: Onsite in Hartford, CT, United States. Must reside near or be able to reliably commute to Hartford, CT. Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship is required (CPT/OPT not supported).

Compensation: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Build automated tests and Python-based tooling for data migration pipelines, leveraging AWS services.
• Apply UI-based automation (Selenium + Java) and API testing automation (Karate + Maven).
• Generate clear test results for business partner validation.
• Configure and run Jenkins jobs for automated test execution.
• Collaborate with the team on project goals and gain exposure to engineering tools and quality practices.
• Contribute to data migration and transformation initiatives through individual or collaborative projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university (Bachelor’s or Master’s program).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Available for the full 10-week program (May 27 – July 31, 2026).
• Must reside near or be able to reliably commute to Hartford, CT (in-person internship).
• Experience with AWS Cloud services (S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions), Python scripting, Jenkins, GitLab, and Excel Macros.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and STLC processes, with familiarity in scrum or a test management tool.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship is required (CPT/OPT not supported).

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of academic progress toward a bachelor’s degree.
• Expected to graduate and be available for full-time employment by mid-2027.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development, DevOps practices, Selenium or UFT with a BDD framework, or CloudFormation scripting.
