What you will do

• Work in an Agile Scrum environment collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Design, develop, and unit test backend solutions of varying complexity
• Produce clean, high-quality code and diagnose defects
• Lead technical discussions, planning, and architectural decision sessions
• Support and share knowledge with team members and stakeholders

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work model based in Sofia, Bulgaria
• English: Fluency in written and spoken English (C1 level)
• 5+ years professional experience in Java backend development
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, JUnit, CI/CD, Domain Driven Design
• Experience with software development lifecycle best practices and teamwork

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and event-driven architectures
• Experience with cloud providers like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
