What you will do

• Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
• Write clean, maintainable code following standard software development principles.
• Participate as a software developer on Agile teams, delivering software solutions for migrating and modernizing customer legacy applications to MongoDB.
• Follow existing best practice migration playbooks and innovate to fill in gaps with creative solutions.
• Take direction from technical lead and project manager, raising identified challenges and potential solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience working as a Java software developer.
• Strong proficiency in Java and good understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot and building REST APIs.
• Strong experience in building applications that interact with relational databases using SQL.
• History of delivering modern applications with Agile methodologies, test-first development, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Python (reading, understanding, and writing simple scripts).
• Exposure to other languages or technologies like JavaScript.
• Familiarity with ORM tools like Hibernate, Spring Data, or JPA.
• Basic understanding of microservices concepts.
• Experience in performance and memory optimization of Java applications.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, IntelliJ IDEA, and Maven/Gradle.
