Location: This role is based in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid work model requiring four days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is offered to new employees.

What you will do

• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines for multi-component builds using hermetic toolchains.
• Define versioning and branching strategies, automating promotions, changelogs, and artifact retention.
• Integrate unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test results, managing flaky tests and blocking unsafe promotions.
• Build A/B OTA update flows with verity and health checks, running staged rollouts and implementing safe rollback strategies.
• Implement code signing for binaries and firmware, generate SBOMs, and conduct vulnerability scanning.
• Manage dashboards and alerts for build health, promotion latency, failure rates, and fleet update telemetry.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating build and release systems for consumer devices, robotics, mobile, or embedded products.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages such as Python or Bash.
• Strong Linux user-space fundamentals.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or Buildkite, artifact registries, and reproducible toolchains.
• Experience managing vendor BSPs and toolchains.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver secure OTA or image updates with staged rollouts at scale.
