Documentation Engineer

What you will do

• Independently develop target-group-specific technical customer documentation in English using XML-based editorial systems.
• Take full responsibility for the entire documentation process, from conception and research to publication and handover for translation.
• Develop clear information architectures and implement documentation concepts.
• Drive the digitalization of documentation processes and contribute your experience in using new technologies and AI.
• Work closely with the editorial team and international development and other specialist departments.

Requirements

• Completed studies in engineering, natural sciences, technical communication, or a comparable degree program.
• Professional experience in technical communication and mastery of documentation methods (topic-based writing, single-source/cross-media publishing).
• Sound knowledge of XML-based editorial systems.
• Experience collaborating in agile environments and working with version control and change management tools.
• Very good German and English language skills, including mastery of technical terminology.

Nice to have

• Programming experience or knowledge of a programming language.
• Proven experience in applying AI.
