Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fullstack): Building and optimizing customer-facing features for a digital operations management platform with an accent on end-to-end development across services and UI, including Java/Go/TypeScript/React, Kafka, MySQL, and AWS. Focus on orchestrating and resolving incidents at scale, collaborating with product and UX, and operating production systems.

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal (2 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Build and ship new customer-facing features across services and UI (Java/Go/TypeScript/React, Kafka, MySQL, AWS).
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Provide code reviews for team members.
• Own, maintain, and steer the future direction of production systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation to triage and address production issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of development experience working on customer-facing SaaS applications and web-based systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or Ruby).
• Experience working in an agile environment with iterative development and fast feedback.
• Experience with tools that ensure smooth, automated, repeatable deployment to staging and production environments.
• Solid understanding of web or service development basics (APIs, HTTP, JSON, REST).
• Familiarity with version control and collaborative workflows (Git, pull requests, code reviews).
• Clear, concise communication and a collaborative, growth-oriented attitude with a test-first mindset.
• Must be able to work hybrid from the Lisbon office 2 days per week.
• Cannot be employed if residing in specific restricted regions (e.g., Northern Territory in Australia, Alberta in Canada, Alaska in the United States).

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Public cloud engineering on AWS.
• Experience with modern AI assisted coding environments such as Cursor, Claude, Windsurf.
