What you will do

• Enhance AI-native and expert-review document workflows and integrate LLM-based solutions.
• Develop systems to evaluate the quality and efficacy of customer deliverables.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with founders, PMs, and designers to scope and launch new features.
• Lead architectural design and establish engineering best practices.
• Deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality code with testing and optimization.
• Mentor team members and participate in on-call rotations and operational support.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Canada (Toronto hybrid).
• Extensive experience building reliable, observable, and performant distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python or other backend languages like Go, Java, Node.js, or C++.
• Experience delivering production-ready RESTful APIs and managing infrastructure.
• Strong leadership skills with experience leading complex projects and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Excellent communication and ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
