Salary: $126,000.00 – $204,720.00

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of backend RESTful API web services using Microservices architecture.
• Oversee and mentor other developers, handling code reviews and providing technical leadership.
• Drive application development to deliver business valuable features.
• Maintain high standards of software quality and establish good practices within the team.
• Guide the team in developing structured application/interface code, documentation, and user guides.
• Lead development of new functionality and applications on cross-functional Agile project teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software development and software product design/architecture.
• Extensive experience with Java 17 or higher and SpringBoot RESTful API development.
• Extensive experience deploying and maintaining software using public clouds such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with message streaming solutions (e.g., AWS Kinesis, SQS, SNS, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Event Hub).
• Proficiency with various datastores (e.g., AWS Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
• Experience deploying software using CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jenkins, GoCD) and working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum).
• Must be based in Chicago, IL.
