What you will do

• Lead science solution design, run experiments, and research new algorithms.
• Optimize customer experience and set good science practice standards.
• Work closely with engineers and ML scientists to implement algorithms and models.
• Directly impact customer trust in Alexa globally.
• Contribute to growth by hiring and establishing talented teams.
• Mentor other scientists, review their work, and guide roadmaps.

Requirements

• 4+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
• Good understanding of AI, NLU, ML, Dialog Management, ASR, and Audio Signal Processing.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy.
• PhD.
