Location: Onsite in Beijing, China. Starting January 26, 2026, employees who live within a 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific Microsoft office are expected to work from the office at least four days per week.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain web and mobile applications for the MSN Money platform.
• Handle data ingestion and serving processes for the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs, maintaining code quality and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Proficiency in coding languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience working in a fast-paced digital media environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and economic principles.
• Experience in data analysis and growth hacking.
