What you will do

• Build scalable and reliable data pipelines to transform raw learning data into analytics-ready models.
• Create data models that provide clear visibility into learner progress and performance.
• Implement flexible dimensional models that handle real-world educational changes.
• Improve deployment and testing processes for data pipelines, reducing data issues.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, data engineers, and software engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in computer, data, and analytics engineering.
• Expertise in SQL and its use in code-based ETL frameworks, preferably dbt.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT pipelines, analytical data modeling, aggregations, and metrics.
• Expertise in dbt and git, preferably with automation skills.
• Expertise in analytical modeling architectures, including the Kimball design.
• Strong communication skills in writing and conversation.

Nice to have

• Fluency in a development language such as Python.
• Experience building dashboards, reports, and models in business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker.
• Expertise with tools like Snowflake, AWS Storage Services (S3, RDS, Glacier, DynamoDB), Postgres, Airflow, Matillion, Fivetran, and Cube.dev.
