What you will do

• Dive into software products to become an expert on IT solutions and MSP needs.
• Perform comprehensive software testing and maintain test plans across platforms.
• Create detailed documentation of software quality and defects.
• Recommend improvements to testing methodologies and tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and leadership throughout the SDLC.
• Other duties as needed with strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; no visa sponsorship.
• Must reside in the USA in specified states; cannot work within Chicago city limits.
• 5+ years in technical IT support, product support, or systems engineering.
• 2+ years scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
• Experience with at least two OS: Windows, Mac, or Linux, including system settings and Windows Registry.
• Networking knowledge and experience with network equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with virtualization platforms (ESXi, Hyper-V, VMWare Fusion, VirtualBox, Parallels).
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, MySQL).
• Experience with API platforms like Postman.
• Experience with remote-control tools (TeamViewer, Splashtop, AnyDesk, ConnectWise).
• Experience with TCP/IP protocols (SNMP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, DNS).
• Experience with Jira and Jira X-Ray extension.
