What you will do

• Design and oversee scalable, fault-tolerant systems bridging core Ruby on Rails/JavaScript applications with cloud-native conversational AI services.
• Own the deployment and management of AI infrastructure by writing and maintaining Terraform modules for provisioning cloud resources (GCP).
• Build high-performance APIs and background workers in Ruby on Rails to handle asynchronous tasks with zero latency impact.
• Architect robust RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines, optimizing data ingestion strategies and managing vector database infrastructure.
• Define and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies for application and infrastructure layers to meet enterprise SLAs.
• Champion engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers on distributed systems involving NLP and LLMs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend systems and infrastructure.
• Deep proficiency in Ruby on Rails for application logic and Python for AI/Data workflows.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for full-stack integration.
• Demonstrated production experience with Terraform (IaC) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Comfortable managing cloud resources (GCP preferred, AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL) and preferred experience with Vector Databases (Pinecone, Milvus, or pgvector).
