What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud services for the hirify.global One data platform.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, product owners, and teams.
• Promote clear, simple software design and best practices.
• Support DevOps and CI/CD software delivery models.
• Drive innovation in processes, tools, and technologies.
• Coach and mentor mid-level and junior engineers.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid role with office in Dublin, Ireland
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with AWS services, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience in Agile teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka, Flink, NiFi, or Kinesis.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Clickhouse.
• Knowledge of data file formats like Parquet, Avro, and Iceberg.
• SQL scripting and relational database experience.
• Open-source contributions history.
