What you will do

• Hire, mentor, and provide day-to-day leadership for a software engineering team.
• Drive key decisions impacting Alexa and Alexa+ customers worldwide.
• Collaborate with other SDMs and SDEs across the Alexa Organization.
• Own critical Customer-facing services in both Classic Alexa and Alexa+.
• Engage in operations, development, and innovative work with Science teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
