What you will do

• Manage and mentor engineering teams and leads across multiple squads, fostering professional growth.
• Own and refine team processes, ensuring adherence to agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
• Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Core Platform, Data Pipelines, DevEx, and DevOps squads.
• Ensure the delivery of robust, high-performance data pipelines, including blockchain integrations.
• Partner with product managers and other stakeholders to align platform goals with business priorities.
• Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as lead time, system uptime, and team velocity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years as a backend engineer and 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams.
• Proven experience managing approximately 15 engineers within a larger 50+ engineer organization with cross-squad dependencies.
• Strong technical background in system architecture, data engineering, and infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in managing tasks using JIRA, including prioritization and roadmap alignment.
• Deep understanding and application of agile methodologies, including Scrum, and a track record of facilitating ceremonies.
• Familiarity with scalable architecture patterns, microservices, distributed systems, data pipeline technologies, APIs, and DevOps tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform).

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain technologies and integrations.
• Familiarity with developer tooling, developer experience optimization, or DevOps practices.
• Passion for software engineering, demonstrated through an active GitHub profile, technical blog, or open-source contributions.
• Experience scaling engineering teams and processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
