What you will do

• Contribute to quantum technology studies and secure communication projects across all phases.
• Define and manage system requirements, specifications, and technical baselines.
• Develop and implement technical solutions in laboratory and manage external developments.
• Plan and execute system and subsystem test campaigns including validation and verification.
• Manage work packages and act as technical contact for subcontractors and customers.
• Participate in or lead proposal development for quantum technology projects.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or willing to work onsite in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany
• Master’s degree in Photonics or related field focused on Quantum Information and Laser Physics.
• Experience with Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems and space-based applications.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, analog/digital circuit design, and FPGA programming.
• Programming skills in C and Python for hardware integration and system testing.
• Experience in system-level design, testing, and documentation for optical and quantum communication systems.
