What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure using Python and Databricks/PySpark.
• Work with Azure services including networking, storage, and security (Entra ID).
• Write and optimize SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Develop backend components with Java (Spring or Quarkus) and automate infrastructure using Bicep and Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps) and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes.
• Integrate event-driven solutions using Kafka and orchestrate workflows with Airflow.

Requirements

• Location: Based in the Netherlands
• BSc or MSc in IT, Computer Science, or related field with several years of experience as Data or Software Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Python 3.11+, Databricks, Azure services, Java 17+, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and ownership of end-to-end data engineering solutions.
• English: Proficient (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced Azure services and security hardening.
• Familiarity with financial risk systems or IFRS9 processes.
