Location: Hybrid - Leeds-based (2 days on site)

Salary: up to £75,000 per annum

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-level architecture for new and existing applications.
• Define architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor technical teams.
• Evaluate and implement tools, frameworks, and technologies aligned with business needs.
• Support modernisation, migration, and integration initiatives across the application landscape.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or near Leeds with hybrid work (2 days onsite)
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years software development experience, including 2+ years in architecture or leadership.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns like microservices and serverless.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in enterprise application integration (EAI).
• Knowledge of data modelling and application security best practices.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
