Salary: £90,440 - £106,400

What you will do

• Define and evolve cloud and platform strategies aligned with Group priorities
• Lead transformation initiatives delivering secure, scalable public and private cloud platforms
• Provide architecture governance, create roadmaps, and offer technical leadership
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and technical teams to influence decisions
• Champion modern engineering practices including microservices, DevOps, and event-driven design
• Drive innovation and mentor colleagues to share expertise

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work with minimum 40% onsite presence in Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, or Leeds
• English: Proficient communication and storytelling skills for senior stakeholder engagement
• Deep knowledge of architecture principles, cloud-native and traditional technologies
• Proven experience in application-level architecture and engineering for Cloud Native solutions
• Experience in large regulated organizations, preferably financial services
• Awareness of emerging technologies like Gen AI and Quantum with ability to assess impact

• Experience shaping enterprise-scale cloud strategies and roadmaps
• Executive-level stakeholder engagement and collaboration
• Designing for non-functional requirements and performance at scale
