What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and align data solutions with business needs.
• Build robust, scalable data pipelines and models using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and PowerBI.
• Design and implement efficient ETL and ELT pipelines ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Develop and maintain dimensional data models to support analysis and reporting.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices using Azure Purview, Unity Catalog, and Apache Atlas.
• Monitor and optimize data system performance and develop intuitive Power BI dashboards for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work remotely with flexibility to travel to UK offices and client sites
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for complex data problem solving.
• Experience with Spark-based platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) and PySpark or Spark SQL.
• Strong understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture and building ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure.
• Experience developing Power BI dashboards and applying dimensional modelling techniques.
• CI/CD mindset and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Willingness to undergo Security Clearance as part of onboarding.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and high-performance data systems.
• Knowledge of Delta Tables, Apache Iceberg, and data governance tools.
• Exposure to streaming/event-based technologies like Kafka and Azure Event Hub.
• Familiarity with SOLID principles, Agile methodologies, and recent innovations such as GenAI and Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience with public sector clients.
