TL;DR
DevOps Lead (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD): Designing, building, and operating production systems with an accent on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and developer enablement. Focus on leading automation, AI-assisted DevOps workflows, and ensuring operational excellence in a SaaS environment.
Location: We will consider both candidates located in the New York Metro Area who are willing to work in our NYC office 2-3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) OR Remote based EST Timezone.
Salary: $180,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do
- Design, build, and operate production-grade Kubernetes infrastructure in AWS, spending 60–80% of your time hands-on.
- Build and evolve GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines, and develop internal DevOps tooling and developer self-service platforms.
- Lead implementation of automation and AI-assisted DevOps workflows.
- Own systems end-to-end, from design and code to deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance through architecture and code reviews.
- Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems, defining and tracking KPIs, SLOs, and operational metrics.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a DevOps / Platform Engineer.
- 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers (formal or informal).
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS or a similar public cloud.
- Proven experience running Kubernetes in production, including Helm.
- Strong experience with CI/CD and GitOps (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
- Solid background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.
- Experience working in SaaS, production-heavy, multi-team environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI / LLM-based tooling or intelligent automation in DevOps.
- Experience with the Argo ecosystem (Workflows, Events, Rollouts).
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or similar).
- Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling.
- Experience with ephemeral environments.
