Principal Engineer (Audience Team)

Location: New York City, NY: Hybrid Schedule (M/F remote, T/W/TH in-office). Buffalo, NY / East Coast US - Remote.

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead development and implementation of software projects from inception to deployment.
• Design and implement reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions to challenging problems.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver appropriate results.
• Lead technical specification, development, integration, testing, and release of software components.
• Identify and address technical challenges, optimize code, and participate in ongoing code refactoring.
• Define long-term strategic engineering goals for the team.

Requirements

• 7 to 10+ years of production coding experience, preferably in server-side Java, Go, and/or Rust.
• Expertise in service-oriented architectures, microservices, advanced database schemas, and highly scalable services.
• Hands-on experience in building RESTful WebServices.
• Experience using SQL and one or more NoSQL databases (Aerospike, Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IaaC technologies (Puppet, Spacelift, Terraform).
• Experience working with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Javascript, React Component Libraries like Ant Design, Material UI, or React Bootstrap.
