Backend Engineer (AI): Developing scalable backend systems and AI-powered real-time audio processing pipelines for clinical note-taking in healthcare. With an accent on distributed systems, multi-cloud integrations, and reliability. Focus on designing and shipping features that improve AI-driven clinical documentation and healthcare workflows.

Location: 100% remote-friendly within Poland

What you will do

Own backend features end-to-end from design to impact review.
Design scalable, reliable backend systems with observability.
Develop real-time audio processing and AI/ML integrations for clinical documentation.
Build and optimize integrations with healthcare systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Solve distributed systems challenges including async workflows and multi-cloud orchestration.
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to ship iteratively.

Requirements

Must be located in Poland or work remotely within Poland.
4+ years experience in backend engineering with scalable systems.
Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, scalability, and clean architecture.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher.
Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

Experience with AI/ML integrations like Speech-to-Text or LLMs.
Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration.
Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
Ability to work with Python codebases.
