Associate Animator (Motion Capture): Processing and retargeting motion capture data to game assets, collaborating with global teams to produce character animations with an accent on precise data tracking and character solving. Focus on bringing actors’ performances to life through bleeding-edge technology and upholding animation quality.

Location: This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Oakville, ON

What you will do

• Process motion capture data through proprietary pipelines.
• Retarget motion capture data to game assets.
• Work collaboratively with global teams to achieve goals, uphold animation quality, and share knowledge.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience with character animation or motion capture.
• 2 years of experience with Motion Builder.
• A demo reel showcasing your animation work.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated, interested in games and curious about how things work.
• Adaptable and flexible, able to quickly adjust to changing priorities and new challenges.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux.
• A good understanding of game animation pipelines.
