Location: Hybrid in Warsaw, Poland or Raleigh, NC, USA. Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office.

What you will do

• Define and drive the long-term architectural vision for the shared-services platform.
• Own the platform's design integrity, defining paved paths, shared APIs, and integration standards.
• Align systems into a cohesive ecosystem by architecting shared solutions for recurring cross-product challenges.
• Treat the platform as a product, measuring success by reduction in cognitive load and DORA metrics.
• Serve as the governing authority for API standards and software patterns.
• Champion "Architecture for Cost-Efficiency" by designing inherently cost-effective systems on GCP.
• Lead by example, designing and prototyping critical cloud-native solutions on GCP.
• Elevate the technical maturity of the organization through mentorship and fostering technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture of scalable SaaS systems.
• Experience architecting stateful systems on GCP (e.g., Cloud SQL, Spanner, GKE) with multi-tenancy focus.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python.
• Deep expertise in API design and identity management protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SCIM, JWT).
• Proficiency in Docker, advanced Kubernetes skills, and deep knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Solid understanding of network architecture principles (VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls).
