What you will do

• Lead and mentor a multi-skilled engineering team.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, designing and building maintainable, testable, observable, and resilient software systems.
• Collaborate with feature teams and third parties to implement creative solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Use agile tools and methodologies to monitor progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Develop and document processes to improve engineering efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor and analyze service performance metrics, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership role within engineering, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
• Strong commercial experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with at least two of the following: React, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Java 17+, Spring Boot, and relational databases.
• Breadth of technical understanding across software development, architecture, service operations, DevOps, and cloud.
• Experience with agile development practices, DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and test automation.
• Ability to work from Edinburgh Office at least two days per week.
