Product Designer / User Research (Medtech)

Product Designer / User Research (Medtech): Designing and extending UX capabilities for oncology applications, crafting compelling cross-platform user experiences with an accent on user flow, design system & language, and core UI elements. Location: Remote (Guadalajara, Mexico) with a preference to support the east coast USA

What you will do

• Decide what user research is needed, apply research, and analyze results.
• Work with Product Management and Engineering to design within a user-centered design process.
• Deliver designs from concept to market for key oncology products across desktop, mobile, and tablet.
• Apply fundamental user experience, design, and research principles to deliver intuitive customer journeys.
• Spend time in the field to understand doctors' workflows and challenges, leveraging user research and testing feedback.
• Support the creation of a world-class design culture and practice within the studio.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience.
• 2+ years of user research experience.
• Demonstrated excellence in creating user flows, interaction patterns, and product experiences that align with user needs.
• Ability to drive complex workflows and distill complex input from researchers, program managers, and users into approachable and intuitive UI.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate design rationale and thinking.
• Ability to explore the design of complex systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with design within the medical ecosystem.
• Passion for improving the healthcare of people, especially cancer patients.
• Visual design capability and additional skillsets (writing, video, public speaking).
• Understanding of design systems, data platforms, and UI delivered through multiple devices.
