Data Engineer (Data Science/ML): Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and improve data lake house infrastructure to ensure reliable, high-quality data for analytics and business decision-making with an accent on data architecture, automation, and collaboration. Focus on designing scalable data flows, ensuring data quality and lineage, and supporting smarter decision-making through integrated data systems.

Location: Hybrid in Lithuania (Vilnius or Kaunas) with 2 days per week onsite

Salary: 3500–5500 EUR/month

What you will do

• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
• Improve structure, quality, and accessibility of the data lake house
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external systems into unified datasets
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and lineage across environments
• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and specialists to deliver analytics-ready data
• Automate workflows and improve monitoring for performance and transparency
• Contribute to data architecture decisions and process improvements

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work model with 2 days per week in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania
• English: Fluent (C1–C2 level) required
• 2+ years experience as Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with data lakes and ETL/ELT orchestration tools (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory)
• Understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS)

Nice to have

• Experience with data governance, security, or access control
• Familiarity with real-time data streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
• Interest in automation, ML pipelines, or AI-based data workflows
