What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in PHP (Laravel)
• Participate in technical decision-making and suggest improvements in architecture and workflows
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security in all developments
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver impactful features
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend challenges in production
• Mentor less experienced developers and promote knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work with 2 days per week in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania
• English and Lithuanian language skills required
• 3–5+ years of backend development experience with PHP and Laravel
• Strong database skills with MySQL/PostgreSQL and query optimization
• Familiarity with software architecture, design patterns, testing, Git, and CI/CD

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud environments, or high-traffic systems
