TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Node): Building products to improve guest-property communication and enhance guest experience, focusing on creating seamless check-in flows and omni-channel messaging capabilities. Focus on contributing to innovation and quality solutions within a distributed team, refining product requirements, and designing/maintaining infrastructure as code.

Location: Hybrid in Manila, Philippines, with flexibility for remote work (hybrid in office is preferred).

What you will do

  • Refine and deliver product requirements with minimal support.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional distributed agile team.
  • Write clean, well-organized code, balancing performance, robustness, and extensibility.
  • Work closely with other developers through pair programming and pull request reviews.
  • Design and maintain infrastructure as code.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of microservice, event-driven architectures, and RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, Kinesis, SQS, ElastiCache, Lambda, SES, S3).
  • Competence with database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with code testability, build pipelines, Docker, and CI/CD systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills to liaise with product, technology, and delivery teams.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of NestJS framework.
