What you will do

• Develop and train search foundation models including embedding models and rerankers.
• Work on architectures such as encoder/decoder designs and interaction mechanisms.
• Optimize scale and efficiency including long-context retrieval and quantization techniques.
• Advance multilingual and multimodal retrieval capabilities.
• Contribute to synthetic data generation, model distillation, and embedding space learning.
• Collaborate in a flat, high-output team shipping models and publishing research.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or related field
• 3+ years experience training production models and professional Python development
• Strong foundation in information retrieval and neural search
• Track record of publications at major AI/ML conferences
• English proficiency at least B2 level
• Ability to work remotely in a distributed team

Nice to have

• Experience with token economics and retrieval benchmarks
• Open-source ML project contributions
• Rapid prototyping skills
