TL;DR
BI Engineer (Fraud Analytics): Building and maintaining data foundations for insights and operationalizing systems to protect PuzzlePlay from fraudulent behavior with an accent on BI engineering, dashboard ownership, data modeling, and hands-on fraud detection. Focus on developing Looker dashboards, designing metric logic, and writing custom SQL rules for fraud identification.
Location: Hybrid working (3 days in office). Must be based in Minsk, BY.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain Looker dashboards and reports for in-app metrics across Puzzleplay, game clients, and user acquisition channels.
- Design metric logic, build aggregate tables, and own data modeling required for high-scale reporting.
- Create business-facing documentation, including metric definitions, data dictionaries, and dashboard guides.
- Collaborate with business, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Product teams to integrate new data sources.
- Write custom SQL rules to identify suspicious user flows, login patterns, and redemption behavior.
- Lead investigations into irregularities in metrics, combining data from multiple sources.
Requirements
- Experience building out reports within Looker (or relevant BI tool, Looker preferred).
- Extensive experience in SQL (Snowflake, Bigquery etc.), including complex joins, CTEs, and pattern-recognition queries.
- Experience in a Data Analytics & BI role, delivering and maintaining metrics and dashboards across various teams.
- Ability to manipulate large datasets for exploratory analysis and investigations.
- Proven experience developing behavior-based heuristics, rules, or detection systems OR strong interest and analytical ability to ramp up quickly.
- Must be based in Minsk, BY and work in a hybrid format.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python/R).
- Proficiency in Looker APIs.
- Experience in a mobile app / ad tech / gaming company.
- Experience with product and user acquisition teams.
