CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior Story Programmer to join the team working on Cyberpunk 2, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077. In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining story and quest tools that empower designers to deliver a deep, cinematic, story-driven RPG experience.

You will collaborate closely with quest and cinematic designers, helping translate creative vision into robust, performant, and user-friendly tools that integrate seamlessly with Unreal Engine 5 and the wider game systems.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Work closely with quest and cinematic designers to understand creative and technical needs
• Design, build, and maintain story-related plugins and tools
• Ensure tools are efficient, performant, and support smooth designer workflows
• Write high-quality, optimized, and maintainable C++ code
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure tools integrate well with all game systems
• Contribute to technical innovation and problem-solving throughout development

📚 Required Skills
• 7+ years of professional experience as a game programmer
• Strong proficiency in C++
• Solid experience with Unreal Engine 5
• Ability to translate non-technical requirements into effective technical solutions
• Strong communication skills and experience working with designers
• Experience with Unreal Engine cinematic sequencer

👍 Nice to Have
• Previous experience developing story or quest tools
• Background working on narrative-driven RPGs
