What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend systems for the data ingestion backbone of the Financial Planning product.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Integrate with external data providers, such as Snowflake, NetSuite, and Stripe.
• Build and optimize APIs to support seamless integrations across the platform.
• Take ownership of the full development cycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
• Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture.
• Experience with testing methodologies like unit-testing, TDD, and mocking.
• Experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Willingness and openness to help decouple from and replace legacy C# systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python as a primary programming language.
• Experience developing financial applications or HR related products.
• Experience with large-scale data transforms.
• Experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or OLAP datastores (e.g., SingleStore).
