Security Analyst

TL;DR

Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Ensuring security and compliance of systems, data, and products by leading incident response, managing security tooling, and supporting compliance initiatives. Salary: $40,000 - $62,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead incident response efforts including monitoring alerts, managing threat takedowns, and handling security incidents.
• Develop and test incident response plans and improve security playbooks.
• Implement and manage application security tooling such as SAST/DAST and container scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct forensic analysis to identify attack vectors and drive remediation.
• Build and maintain security policies, deliver company-wide security training and phishing campaigns.
• Support compliance certifications and manage security reviews including GDPR/CCPA and PCI Level 1 audits.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work without visa sponsorship in your location.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3+ years in information security, incident response, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of PCI DSS Level 1, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, and fintech regulations.
• Experience with security monitoring platforms, incident response tools, and application security solutions.
• Technical understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, AWS, and Kubernetes security.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across diverse teams and influence stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with security platforms like CrowdStrike, GitHub Advanced Security, ZeroFox, KnowBe4, or PhishER.
• Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
