What you will do

• Define and own backend architecture and service boundaries for major initiatives.
• Coordinate backend decisions and align API contracts across teams.
• Collaborate closely with Product Manager to ensure technical solutions deliver customer value.
• Lead refactoring efforts, enforce code quality, and mentor engineers.
• Build reliable, testable, and maintainable data pipelines using Python and Argo Workflows.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Germany, Spain, or Romania (remote)
• At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with preferably 3 years in Python backend development.
• Strong backend engineering skills with focus on design, domain modeling, and testing strategy.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Go, .NET, or Ruby and willingness to learn Python stack.
