What you will do

• Define and deliver data platform offerings across AWS to support engineering and data science teams.
• Build tooling and services for online storage platforms enabling self-serve capabilities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and mitigate scalability gaps in data-intensive systems.
• Own key areas of the data platform charter and execute technical projects.
• Mentor and onboard other engineers to grow team capabilities.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Canada for remote work
• 6+ years experience with data-intensive applications and distributed systems.
• Expertise in online data storage systems such as relational, key-value, document-oriented, or columnar databases at scale.
• Proven ability to lead engineering initiatives involving cross-team collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of technologies like PostgreSQL, RocksDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, Kafka.
• Strong mentoring and onboarding skills.
