TL;DR

Mid-Market Account Executive (Cybersecurity): Driving new business growth by acquiring small to medium-sized customers and expanding Abnormal’s footprint in the market with an accent on owning the entire sales process from initial prospecting through to deal closure. Focus on overachieving new annual recurring revenue quotas and ensuring customer satisfaction through renewals and expansion.

Location: Remote (USA), ideally based in MS, AL, or GA.

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 USD (base salary range)

What you will do

  • Sell Abnormal security solutions to your defined territory with the goal to overachieve new annual recurring revenue quota.
  • Manage Mid-Market accounts (<3k mailbox organizations) from initial conversations through contract signing and up-selling.
  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities with Mid-Market accounts to supply enough pipeline for sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure timely renewals and expansion sale opportunities.
  • Act as a voice for the customer/prospect with internal teams including Sales Engineering/POV, Product, and Marketing to prioritize revenue-closing activities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience selling in cybersecurity.
  • 4+ years in an individual contributor sales role.
  • Proven ability in disciplined pipeline generation across multiple channels (prospecting, marketing, referrals, partners).
  • Strong capability in qualifying needs, presenting ROI-driven value, and navigating complex internal and customer buying processes.
  • A track record of executing repeatable sales processes with effective focus and time management.
  • Experience thriving in early-stage, resource-constrained environments and collaborating cross-functionally.

Nice to have

  • MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, or Command of the Sale sales methodology training.
