Software Engineer (DevEx)

Software Engineer (DevEx): Develop and optimize internal developer tools, CI/CD infrastructure, and secure scalable automation to enhance engineering workflows with an accent on Kubernetes, Terraform, and security compliance. Focus on designing developer environments, improving observability, and leading platform-level architectural improvements.

Location: Hybrid in Düsseldorf, Germany with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote per week

What you will do

• Build and maintain internal tooling and workflows to boost developer productivity and satisfaction
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines for performance, security, and compliance
• Standardize scalable development environments using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform
• Improve monitoring and observability with Grafana, Kibana, and Sentry
• Lead platform architecture improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Mentor junior engineers and support operational excellence

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Düsseldorf, Germany
• 5+ years backend software engineering experience, preferably in platform or DevOps roles
• Strong skills in Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code
• Proficiency in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or Golang
• Experience with CI/CD systems and security/compliance tooling like Snyk and Vanta
• Good Linux terminal skills and container debugging experience
• English proficiency at least B2 level
