What you will do

• Manage and optimize Linux servers and distributed database systems (ScyllaDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
• Implement proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting for distributed systems.
• Increase efficiency through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve infrastructure and database systems.
• Provide expert guidance to colleagues and customers on database best practices and scalable architecture patterns.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing Linux (Ubuntu) systems and operating SQL/NoSQL databases in distributed environments.
• Experience with ScyllaDB, Cassandra, and/or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and performance tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Bash scripting.
• Understanding of replication, sharding, consistency levels, failover strategies, and capacity planning for distributed data platforms.
• Solid understanding of networking and security principles (firewalls, load balancing, TLS, performance tuning).
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle and IaC tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
