What you will do

• Take technical ownership of the software development life cycle for scalable applications.
• Apply best practices in software architecture to ensure robust, maintainable, and future-proof solutions.
• Work on mission-critical systems within modern cloud-native environments, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Design and set up microservices, build APIs, and design CI/CD pipelines.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, bringing your technical vision to life.
• Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and continuously improve the development process to shape software engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• A completed technical bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• At least 7 years of professional experience as a software developer.
• Experience with mentoring and coaching other developers.
• Deep knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including Spring or Spring Boot.
• Experience with automated testing.
• Strong communication skills, a polyglot mindset, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
• Fluent in Dutch.

Nice to have

• Experience in consultancy.
• Experience with large-scale deployments (high availability, scalability, resilience, API security).
• Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
