What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs and services across the platform
- Lead API conceptualization and integration ensuring performance and maintainability
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and code quality
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to add pragmatic innovation
- Write modular, reliable, and testable code with high architectural standards
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in backend and API development
Requirements
- Location: Hybrid work in Darmstadt, Germany
- 3+ years experience in modern JavaScript (ES2015+), TypeScript is a plus
- Strong passion for API design, backend architecture, and scalable services
- Experience with distributed systems, NoSQL databases, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Ability to make architectural decisions aligned with long-term platform goals
