What you will do

• Build functional MVPs for AI-based features or tools, from prompt design to simple backend or frontend prototypes.
• Develop and test RAG pipelines and experiment with different chunking, indexing, and retrieval approaches.
• Work with vector databases, embeddings, and metadata filtering.
• Design and test AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or API-based solutions.
• Evaluate various LLMs for quality, speed, and cost based on specific use cases.
• Integrate prototypes with existing internal APIs, tools, or datasets and present your findings.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field at a university in Germany.
• Practical experience with Python for scripts or small prototypes.
• Comfortable using AI models through APIs and libraries such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Curious about retrieval systems, embeddings, vector search, chunking, and agentic workflows.
• Able to work independently and clearly explain your results.
• Good English skills.

Nice to have

• First experience with REST APIs, simple web development, or cloud basics.
• Docker knowledge.
• Interest in the space domain or NewSpace startups.
