What you will do
- Understand business activities and future plans to identify, investigate, and manage privacy topics.
- Work closely with global cross-functional teams to support decision-making and privacy initiatives.
- Review and advise on products and features to embed privacy by design.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of privacy-related contracts.
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s privacy strategy and program, including impact assessments, data subject requests, incident responses, policies, and audits.
- Advise internal clients on the company’s privacy obligations and mitigate key data privacy risks.
- Keep current on relevant privacy laws and regulations to provide business-oriented guidance.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally with some experience in-house at a SaaS company.
- Demonstrated experience on privacy-related issues, including advising stakeholders, drafting documents, and assessing issues of first impression.
- Experience with the CNIL and ISO certifications.
- High level of comfort with technology, including emerging technologies and AI.
- Must be qualified to practice law in an EU jurisdiction.
- Must be fluent in French and English.
