What you will do

• Manage and automate critical workload scheduling systems using IBM Workload Automation or similar tools.
• Support migration from traditional scheduling to containerized platforms on the Internal Developer Platform.
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, Helm charts, and YAML in cloud-native environments.
• Implement and maintain DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles.
• Collaborate with teams to safeguard monolithic estates during platform migration.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid from Leeds, Edinburgh, Halifax, or Manchester offices in the UK
• Strong experience with workload automation tools like IBM Workload Automation.
• Hands-on knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, GKE, or OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Helm charts, YAML, and cloud-native application deployment.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps principles.
• English: Proficient English required (implied by job language)

Nice to have

• Experience with Internal Developer Platforms such as Backstage.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.
• Experience managing monolithic estates during migration to modern platforms.
